Keto Turkey Gravy Recipe (1)

I’ve been playing around with gravy thickeners as I learn a new way of cooking while doing the Ketogenic diet. I’ve recently learned about a fiber made from konjac root called Glucomannan. After a bit of research, I’ve learned it’s really good for constipation, weight loss, blood sugar control, and it’s even good for lowering cholesterol. It’s a fiber, so it’s bound to make you feel full too. I decided to order some Glucomannan from Amazon and test it for myself. Besides, I am in full test mode with Thanksgiving Day recipes that are Keto friendly.

Yesterday, I made the most delicious Turkey, Gravy, and Keto Stuffing! The Keto Stuffing Recipe was a delightful surprise. It was a recipe I had for a sweet dessert that I made savory and then turned it into croutons for the stuffing. It was perfect in texture and taste! It’s damn near close to the real thing! I shocked myself when I concocted this recipe. The family was impressed, to say the least. It’s a recipe we plan to make over and over again for Thanksgiving.

Now this Keto Turkey Gravy recipe may just be the easiest gravy you ever make. I’ve made it with and without butter. I like to add butter to this recipe because it adds more fat I need for the Ketogenic diet. It also adds a smoothness to the gravy too. Both ways taste delightful though.

Keto Turkey Gravy Recipe Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Glucomannan Powder
  • 2 Cups Turkey Broth
  • 4 oz butter
  • 2 tbs parsley seasoning
  • 1 tsp ground rosemary seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Keto Turkey Gravy Recipe Instructions

  1. In a small size frying pan, melt the butter and add two cups of turkey broth.
  2. Add the seasonings to the mixture. I ended up grinding the Rosemary seasoning down to a fine texture. These seasonings mimicked the Keto stuffing and came out amazing in this recipe.
  3. Once it’s warm, add 1/2 teaspoon ofGlucomannan Powderto the gravy. Use a whisk to mix it in until it has completely dissolved.
  4. Set the gravy aside for about 5 minutes or so. Once it sits, it will start to thicken. Use the same amount of Glucomannan powder even if you decide to make this recipe and leave out the butter. I’ve tried it both ways and it works both ways. Just remember, a small amount of this powder goes a long way.

Note: This gravy will jell up in the refrigerator. Once it’s heated up again it will turn to gravy again with no problems.
